Visit from Environment Minister

The Rt Hon Hilary Benn MP, Secretary of State for the Environment, visited staff at our head office in Brighton in October, to find out more about our work on improving local environmental quality. The Minister, accompanied by Nancy Platts, Labour Party Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Brighton Pavilion, was eager to hear about current issues of concern and questioned our expert staff on our core activities. He was particularly interested in ourworkto promote a joined up approach totackling climate change and air quality and thedevelopment of a national noise strategy, and our work to reduce the risks to health from contaminated land.
